इच्छा थी इतनी भर , बने सरकारी अफसर ,

कुर्सी पर बैठकर करें लाखों की कमाई

 कितनी ही कंपटीशन परीक्षायें देते रहे,

 किसी में भी पर सफलता नहीं मिल पाई

फिर चाहा कि राजनीति में जा किस्मत आजमाएं

नेताजी बन करके ,किसी कुर्सीपर बैठ जाये,

चमचों से घिरे रहें,अपनी हो जय जय कार,

रिश्वत मे कमिशन, ढेर सा कमायें 

कुर्सी के खातिर हम , चुनाव मैदान में उतरे 

,हुई जब्त जमानत, पड़े वोट के लाले

कुर्सी की चाहत में, कुछ भी ना कर पाये,

तो अब फिर क्या करते, यूं ही बैठे ठाले 

दुकान पर पिताजी ने ,आखिर में बिठा डाला 

बैठ कर गद्दी पर, खूब की कमाई

लंबा जीवन 

लंबे से लंबा जीऊं मैं ,यह कोशिश है, बाकी सब ऊपर वाले पर छोड़ दिया है

सुबह-सुबह उठ सैर और व्यायाम कर रहा 

खुद को प्राणायाम ध्यान से जोड़ लिया है 

खान-पान में प्रतिबंधों का ढेर लगा है, ना मीठा ना तली हुई कुछ चाट पकौड़ी

कई मधुर फल आम और अंगूर, शरीफा केला भी ना और मधुर लीची भी छोड़ी

 मेरी अति प्रिय गरम जलेबी और इमरती

अब तो रसगुल्ले खाने पर भी पाबंदी है

कभी-कभी एक छोटा पैग पिया करता  था

किंतु आजकल लागू पूर्ण नशाबंदी है

मेरी इसी लालसा ने लंबा जीने की,

मेरी जीवन की शैली को मोड़ दिया है 

लंबे से लंबा जीऊं मैं यह कोशिश है 

बाकी सब ऊपर वाले पर छोड़ दिया है

 कई बार पर मन में द्वंद उठा करता है यह भी कोई जीवन है खाओ ना पियो

करो न कोई मस्ती पिकनिक मौज पार्टी, सिमटे चारदिवारी में बस जीवन जियो 

आठ वर्ष तक तड़प तड़प जीने के बदले

चार वर्ष तक मौज मस्ती का जीवन अच्छा 

इतने सुख के साधन हैं,उपभोग न करना

ना अपनी मर्जी का खाना पीना अच्छा

लंबे समय बुढ़ापे के दुख नहीं झेल कर,

मैंने मौज मस्ती से जीवन जोड़ लिया है

अब तो हंसी खुशी यह जीवन जीना है,

 बाकी सब ऊपर वाले पर छोड़ दिया है

मुझे ना उधो से कुछ लेना

कुछ दिन बीते यूं ही किशोर अवस्था में 

उच्छृंखल से, मौज मनाते ही यौवन में और फिर शादी हुई गृहस्थी बोझ बड़ा, गया उलझता मैं कमाई की उलझन में

पग पग बाधाओं से टकराव हुआ ,

कितने सुख-दुख झेले अबतक जीवन में पाले पोसे बच्चे, उनके पंख उगे ,

नीड़ बसा कर अपना, चले गए बसने 

 मैंने एक भरपूर जिंदगी जी ली है,

 काट रहा हूं बाकी जीवन बोनस में 

इस जीवन में खट्टे मीठे कितने ही, अनुभव पाकर के अब जब परिपक्व हुआ 

धीरे-धीरे सीख सीख दुनियादारी 

अच्छा बुरा समझने में कुछ दक्ष हुआ

 दबे पांव आ गया बुढ़ापा ,यह बोला 

बूढ़े हो तुम ,किसी काम के नहीं रहे जबकि चुस्त दुरुस्त काम में यह बूढ़ा, अपने मन की पीर बताओ किसे कहे कार्य शैली में अंतर दोनों पीढ़ी का 

सोच नहीं उनकी मिलती है आपस में

 मैंने एक भरपूर जिंदगी जी ली है 

काट रहा हूं बाकी जीवन बोनस में 

यह सच है की बढ़ती हुई उम्र के संग 

हुआ समय का भी कुछ ऐसा पगफेरा तने हुए तन में कमजोरी समा गई तरह-तरह की नई व्याधियों ने घेरा 

काम धाम कुछ बचा नहीं है करने को,

खालीपन ही खालीपन है जीवन में 

 लाचारी ने मुझे निकम्मा बना दिया,

रह रह टीस उठा करती मेरे मन में 

कल तक तो चलता फिरता था फुर्तीला देखो आज हो गया कितना बेबस मै 

मैंने एक भरपूर जिंदगी जी ली है, 

काट रहा हूं बाकी जीवन बोनस में

वृद्धावस्था मुझे इस तरह सता रही पिछले जन्मों की मुझे मिल रही कोई सजा

 रह गया वस्तु में एक चरण छूने की बस 

 मेरे सर पर जब से बुजुर्ग का ताज सजा जी करता है त्यागूं सभी मोह माया ,

कुछ पुण्य कमा लूं,राम नाम का जप करके 

तीर्थाटन और दान धर्म थोड़ा कर लूं 

करूं प्रायश्चित पापों का जीवन भर के कोशिश करूं कि तर जाऊं मै बैतरणी , यही कामना ईश कृपा की मानस में

आओ फिर लड़ लें,झगड़ लें 

बहुत दिन से तुम न रूठी ,

और ना मैंने मनाया

देर तक भूखी रही तुम,

और मैं भी न खाया 

फिर सुलह के बाद वाला ,

नहीं सुख हमने उठाया 

रूठने का, मनाने का ,

बहाना हम कोई गढ़ ले 

आओ फिर लड़ लें,झगड़ ले 

चलो फिर से याद कर ले ,

उम्र वह जब थी जवानी 

दिन सुनहरे हुआ करते, 

और रातें थी सुहानी 

पागलों सा प्यार था पर ,

एक दूजे की न मानी

हुई अनबन रहे कुछ क्षण,

झेलता सब परेशानी,

बुढ़ापे की बीमारी की,

जब तलक मेरे दम में दम 

मौत भी डगमगाएगी,

मेरे नजदीक को आते 

क्योंकि हथियार मेरे संग,

दुआएं दोस्तों की है,

 है रक्षा सूत्र बहनों का ,

भाइयों का है अपनापन 

असर पत्नी के सब व्रत का, 

है करवा चौथ, तीजों का 

मिलेगा फल उसे निश्चित,

रहेगी वह सुहागन बन

मोह में और माया में ,

उलझ कर रह गया है मन 

मज़ा जीने में आता है
